SetUp Contemporary Art Fair 2017
The 5th edition of SetUp Contemporary Art Fair 2017
ended with a great success of public and interest.
Many appreciations at our booths “34” and “only show 6” in which we exhibited the works of Giacomo Bruno, Giuliano Ferrari and Alessandra Zini.
The projects we submitted are:
– ESSENTIAL LIVES
The project of Giacomo Bruno is a collection of images born during his travels as a direct result of his interest in the photographic documentation of everything on this planet that is essential and that, at an ever-increasing rate changes or is destined to disappear.

The shot “The stilt fisherman” made it to the finalists of the Tiziano Campolmi Award, a prestigious competition dedicated to emerging artists.
The critical text is edited by Simona Borrillo.

– GRAND TOUR
The “Grand Tour” of Giuliano Ferrari is a journey that starts from the idea of the journey along Europe that saw Italy as one of the most important destinations. A tradition that began in the seventeenth century, a journey of formation, of knowledge, an assimilation made of study and direct contact with European history, with the open-air relics, to reconstruct a cultural, almost initiatory narrative.
The author interprets this journey in a photographic key with impulsive shots and a set of effects that characterize his style.

– ADVENTURES OF BEINGS
In the works on panel by. Alessandra Zini the power of non-colors, black and white, that springs from their eternal opposition has to do with the power of nature, its dark and vital forces at the same time.
In these works black and white the one an inescapable premise for the existence
of the other: the vibrant and intense black sign from which his many characters spring
stands out against a background obtained from pure white that builds and delimits the space within which they
move or “float.” Ironic and vital, these beings express the lightness with which they approach
their bizarre adventures, prompting us, too, to reflect: is it not more fruitful at times
an attitude of healthy detachment and sympathetic irreverence with respect to the facts of life?
We thank all the people who shared this beautiful experience with us and visited SetUp Contemporary Art Fair !!!
