“MANTUA, CUBA” IN GENOA

On Thursday, July 12 at 6 p.m. at Galata Museo del Mare-Genoa, at the Saletta dell’Arte, the exhibition “Mantua, Cuba.

The exhibition consists of 24 photographic works and is a narrative and sentimental quest that has as its place of investigation a provincial town on the edge of the island of Cuba. Legend has it, but some assonances and references with reality exist, that the founding of Mantua was the work of a group of Italian sailors, many of them Genoese or at least Ligurian, who survived the shipwreck of a brig that had precisely this name.

The exhibition can be visited from Friday, July 13 to Saturday, September 8.
