ROBBY RENT – Served Raw

“Served Raw” is the name of Robby Rent’s exhibition dedicated to the world of street art participating in the 2018 edition of Fotografia Europea at the 8.75 Artecontemporanea gallery in Reggio Emilia (Corso Garibaldi, 4). In his project, the Emilia-based photographer has documented the presence of murals and graffiti in Italy and around the world over the years.  

Curated by Chiara Serri, the exhibition is part of the off circuit of Fotografia Europea 2018.

On display will be fifteen or so photographs on Canson Fine Art paper, some of them large, later applied on di-bond. Shots taken from 2011 to 2018 in Reggio Emilia, Sassari, Rome, Messina, Krakow, Berlin, Stavanger, Valencia, Lisbon, Bethlehem, Montreal, and Brooklyn, from works by Blu, Nemo’s, Ericailcane, Banksy, Roa, Escif, MissMe, Bisser.  

The exhibition will be open until May 9, 2018, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays 5:30-7:30 pm; April 21 and 22 special opening 10:30-12:30 am and 5:30-7:30 pm. Free admission.

The project, anticipated by the trailer produced by Melbourne-based Eklipse Media, is accompanied by a self-produced limited edition volume with texts by Ivana De Innocentis, author of the book “Urban Lives. Viaggio alla scoperta della street art in Italia” (Dario Flaccovio Editore, 2017).
