Olivo Barbieri “FLIPPER” project, in 1977 he discovered an abandoned pinball machine warehouse near his home and spent the next period photographing its every nook and cranny and every angle. These images of pinball machines in turn carpeted act in our eyes as a repository of the culture and imagery of an entire era, whose myths and desires they reveal, from Hollywood cinema to the conquest of heaven and space, from the frontier of the west to rock music and great sporting feats.
